Maternity & Newborn Photography

Timeless Maternity & Newborn Photography is something that you will treasure forever. “I wish I hadn’t had maternity & newborn photos taken” said nobody ever! However, I have many Clients come in for family photo shoots who say that they wish they had booked a Maternity & Newborn Photo Shoot!

It’s a busy time so if it is something you are considering get in touch early, just after your 20 week scan is ideal. That gives you time to pop along to the studio to meet me and have a look around before you make your final decision. It also gives you time to spread your payments if you wish. Having a baby is an expensive business especially for a first baby. I have quite a few Clients who opt to spread the cost of their photo shoot over a few months which means that when it comes to choosing their photos they are all paid up! Of course you don’t have to do that, plenty of Clients book their session and pay when they order. The choice is yours!

Either way, it’s a wonderful experience and one not to be missed if you can help it. This gorgeous family came to the studio to celebrate the pregnancy and arrival of their second baby. We had two really lovely sessions and their older son was an important part of both of them.

And then along came baby! When siblings are involved I always start the Newborn Session with the family images. This helps everyone settle in. Next up are the sibling images and then I take a couple of images of the sibling on their own. The baby photos come last! This works really well as we capture the siblings while everything is still new and exciting but also it makes them feel important and the priority. They can then take a break and have a little treat while baby has their photos taken. The studio has plenty of room for siblings to play and there is always the lovely Sunflower Tea Room next door for a lovely post shoot treat!

Here are a few of my favourites from this lovely families Newborn Shoot, so hard to choose!
